JX55 J1939/J1708 Data Logger Module
The FLEETWATCH® Model JX55 Data Recorder connects to an existing SAE J1939 or J1708 connector on a vehicle. Data described below can be collected and reported on demand to a FLEETWATCH® RF Transceiver (TX55) for transmission to a wayside receiver station (FR55). The vehicle engine and transmission must have electronics necessary to output the requested information through the J1939/J1708 connector. The JX55 unit is user programmed with the vehicle number.
FAULT INDICATORS CAPTURED AND REPORTED
Fault Codes reported include Subsystem ID and Failure Mode Identifier as defined in SAE documentation. The JX55 reports the last 10 unique Active Fault Codes reported with the Date and Time of the beginning of the last occurrence observed. The JX55 can also look for specific fault codes and alert users at the next servicing if that code was recorded during the trip.
PROGRAMMING JX55 WITH VEHICLE ID
Vehicle ID can be programmed into the JX55 wirelessly using an MR55 Mobile Reader and Programmer. JX units may be programmed even while installed on a vehicle. The MR55 programmer is totally self contained and does not require a laptop or other PC to read or program the JX55 or GP55 units.
INTEGRATED WITH FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The JX55 Data Logger, integrated with the FLEETWATCH® Fluid Management System, allows automatic collection of vehicle number, life-to-date mileage, engine hours and quantities of fuel and fluids dispensed, as well as engine fault codes and other data obtained through the J1939/J1708 interface.
VL55 Vehicle Location and Data Logger Module
The FLEETWATCH VL55 is a multi-purpose vehicle mounted module which can be used to provide various vehicle information. Information available from the VL55 includes:
VEHICLE HEALTH MONITORING
The VL55 may be connected to a FLEETWATCH JX55 Module. The JX55 monitors the vehicle’s health in real time via the J1939 or J1708 network and can pass this information along to a VL55 module. Then parameter/fault code information can be sent in real-time by the VL55 to a central server. The server can alert key personnel via text message, e-mail or report.
GP55 GPS Mileage and Data Logger Module
The GP55 GPS Mileage Tracking Module automatically counts and records miles traveled using GPS technology. The GP55 tracks mileage by continuously measuring data points and recording the distance from point to point. Built-in error correction insures accurate mileage even in situations where GPS reception is impossible for short periods of time.
When the GP55 receives a beacon signal from a receiving unit (see RECEIVER OPTIONS), it transmits the preprogrammed vehicle number, the life-to-date mileage of the vehicle, and coded data, including information on the status of the battery powering the unit, to the receiver. The data collected can be downloaded directly to an output device to generate mileage reports, or it can be combined with data collected from other FLEETWATCH® devices (see INTEGRATION WITH FLEETWATCH® FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) allowing completely automatic collection of vehicle number, life-to-date mileage, and amounts of all fluids dispensed.
ST55 Speedometer Tap Mileage Module
The ST55 Speedometer Tap Mileage Module automatically counts and records miles traveled, engine hours and idle hours. The ST55 tracks mileage by tapping into the signal between the vehicle transmission and the dash speedometer. Engine hours and idle hours are calculated by analyzing the constant power and switched power inputs, along with speedometer data to determine if the engine is running, and if so, whether the vehicle is moving.
