Products - FLEETWATCH Software
Fleetwatch's powerful software is one of the keys to world class products and services.
FLEETWATCH Software Information
The FLEETWATCH® Fluid Management System uses two main software packages to control, collect and report on data critical to running a transit agency. The System Monitor collects and protects the data captured by the Fleetwatch hardware and the Data Tools provides an easy to use interface for users to view and analyze that data.
Fleetwatch System Monitor Software
Product Features
The key to the SYSTEMController's power and adaptability is the special System Monitor software package installed on the controller. System Monitor Provides real-time monitoring of activity on the fuel islands and maintenance bays Displays a real-time visual interface to tank monitor systems Can be set up to automatically generate reports and alerts. System Monitor software supports any size transit customer, large or small.

Single Facility Local Mode
In single facility mode the System Monitor is configured to run out of one database located on the SYSTEMController
Mulit-facility Local Mode
In multi-facility local mode the System Monitor at each a central location runs out of a database located on the network, and communicates with the equipment at installation locations via a network connection. This allows city-wide/agency-wide monitoring of all service data.
Typical Operation
In a typical situation the System Monitor program maintains constant communication with all of the RIH Units located at a facility via network or direct serial connection.
Generally an employee number is entered at the beginning of the service transaction. When the program detects input from an RIH Unit it begins a transaction record. The System Monitor verifies the employee ID entered is a valid number and also checks the employee database to see if the employee is authorized to fuel at the current time and day of the week.
The system will then prompt the service attendant to use the RF Reader to capture the vehicle number and life-to-date mileage from the vehicle being serviced. Once the vehicle data has been captured, the System Monitor validates the vehicle number, checks to see if the employee entered above is authorized to fuel that vehicle and makes sure the vehicle has not already exceeded its daily fuel allotment.
If all of the validation checks are passed the software unlocks only those fluids assigned to that particular vehicle in the vehicle database. During servicing the program monitors the amount of each fluid dispensed into the vehicle and will automatically shut off the fluid if it exceeds the cutoff amount specified in the vehicle database for that vehicle.
Once the vehicle has been serviced and moves out of servicing position the vehicle detector attached to the system senses the vehicle departure. It prompts the system to record that service transaction, to lock all flows and return to the initial employee ID prompt in preparation for the next transaction.
Fleetwatch Data Tools Software
Data Tools is a user-friendly, web-based database front-end designed to interface with the SQL database created by System Monitor. Key features of Data Tools Can send email and/or text message alerts for many common issues as they are identified Allows users to view and edit data in an intuitive Web-browser Grant access to users based on need, from read-only users, to power users, to administrator-level control Run and schedule reports including vehicles, employees, tank reconciliation data, and more! Data Tools divides the overwhelming task of managing and monitoring personnel and equipment into a few convenient categories.
Product Features
The FLEETWATCH® Data Tools is a user-friendly database front-end designed to interface with the database created by the FLEETWATCH. System Monitor program. Data Tools allows users to view and edit data related to the FLEETWATCH. SYSTEMContoller without accessing confusing and cumbersome tables or configuration files. The software divides the overwhelming task of managing and monitoring personnel and equipment into a few convenient categories:
Reports
Data Tools includes a wide variety of reports to help analyze data and identify problems. An example of some of the standard reports are as follows:
- Authorized Vehicles Serviced
- Vehicles Not Serviced (for only that subset of vehicles which are assigned to a fueling facility)
- Service Exceptions Report (excessive fuel and/or fluid usage, unauthorized vehicles, mileage exceptions, etc.)
- Fuel Totals by Vehicle, Division, Department or Dispenser
- Monthly Mileage by Vehicle, Division, Department or Vehicle Type
- Tank Level Monitor Reconciliation
Vehicles
Edit and add vehicle information via the user-friendly Data Tools interface. Vehicle Templates allow users to quickly enter several vehicles of the same type without repeating data that is common to all vehicles being added. Vehicle actions allow the user to schedule simple reminders, such as maintenance items or inspections based on time, mileage or both. Batch tools allow users to move entire groups of vehicles from one division to another, or authorize a particular fluid on a group of vehicles without editing each vehicle individually.
Employees
Employee information can be added and edited using the simple Data Tools interface. Enter employee names to be displayed on reports to make identifying employees much easier. Control which vehicles, which days of the week, and the time of day an employee is allowed to service.
Facility
Configure a multitude of facility options using the point and click Data Tools Facility configuration section. Change division information, add/delete lanes or equipment, add fluids, reconfigure equipment properties, and much more.
Tank Data
Connection to an Automated Tank Monitoring System allows reconciliation of Tank Level Monitor data with FLEETWATCH fluid data for any given time period. Identify leaks, or tank monitor/pulser calibration errors.
